Let us see how fast we communicate with each other:

Yesterday, I called to confirm the village thingy. Then, within 5 minutes, I immediately informed our president that we can go "xia xiang". Within 10 minutes, our President straight away msg all the group leader. So the information passed from me to all the committee members happened only within 1 hour.
However, this info did not pass to other members shows that the communication channel between group leader and group members is not efficient.

Reasons why the communication channel within each group is not effective enough:

1. The communication duty is not well delegated. No one know who is the one who is responsible to spread the news.


2. I didn't update everyone for all the details because I feel it's not necessary, e.g. I don't think anyone want to know how many village chief I called and why they rejected us. Plus, this process takes long time, coz I need to give them time to have meeting and decide to let us go or not. So, it's not I didn't update others. It's just I only update the useful one, so no one will be overloaded with info, which might lead to confusion.


3. This blog is not efficient enough in conveying info due my negligence. I sincerely apologize for not updating this blog because I'm too busy recently. FYI, all the committee members can post info here, and all the members can comment in this post. Obviously, we didn't use this blog to the max.

Solution:

1) New communication channel is needed.
Info should always flow like this:
President>committee secretary>all committee members
(group leaders)> each group members
(All group leaders are responsible to
spread the info to own group members)

2) If anyone has question/ideas to share,
Info can always flow like this:
members>group leader>president>group leader>members

If members/anyone feel it's not effective to communicate ideas though this system, for example, you feel the group leaders is not doing good enough but you're uneasy to tell them directly in person, then you can always post your suggestion or problems in the chat page. You don't need to leave your name to comment, so you can give feedback to your leader without showing who you're. So if you have any problems with your group leader and you don't want to communicate your problems to president through your leaders, please use this blog to convey your message. If you have problems with leaders but do not want other members/committee members to know about it, you can always talk to me, Ds. I can keep secrets, don't worry k. However, I hope there is no communication problem between members and group leaders, because all of us are one family now :)

So, This communication channel allows the president knows what is going on all the time and it avoid confusion, because there will be only one decision or
instruction given (only from president). It also allows info to pass in downward and upward form, committee decision will be passed to members and members ideas/suggestion/problems can reach all committee members too.
